The White Rabbit in Cinderella?
Family Friendly Performing Arts in the Inland Empire
I feel strongly about exposing children to Theatre, Music and the Arts from a young age. I think it's wonderful for the imagination and for nurturing young minds. An added bonus? I like to show my daughter there's more to entertainment than the boob tube! I was thrilled to hear about the Lewis Family Playhouse, located in Rancho Cucamonga. If you aren't familiar with the Lewis Family Playhouse, it is a true gem of the Inland Empire! Located at Victoria Gardens since 2006, their mission is to provide high quality theatrical experiences for children, families and audiences of all ages.
Several months ago we had the pleasure of attending the MainStret Theatrical performance of Cinderella. This wasn't your typical Disney rendition. Yes, the mean step-sisters, step-mother and prince were all there. Also making an appearance was the White Rabbit from Alice and Wonderland! It was a enchanting twist on the classic rags to riches tale. My two year old loved her first exposure to the theatre! I was impressed that she could sit through a 90 minute performance but the MainStreet Theatre Performers were truly engaging and animated.
It was an enjoyable family outing and we will be returning for their up and coming performance of Treasure Island running May 07 - May 20, 2010. It's great to know that you don't have to drive all the way out to Los Angeles to expose your chile to the theatre!

Sounds so fun, I think my kids would really enjoy this. Thinking maybe I can even organize something with my fellow moms, fun!
