Help a Mother Out
How many diapers do you go through in a day? A month? Have you ever ran out? What if you didn't have enough money to buy more? As all mothers know, diapers are one of the biggest, day-to-day costs involved with having a newborn baby. Many mother's out there struggle with this cost.
Help a Mother Out is a grass roots organization started in 2009 by Lisa Truong and Rachel Fudge. HAMO organizes diaper donation drives that benefit agencies serving low-income and homeless families throughout California.
The HAMO Mission
Their mission is to help improve the lives of mothers, children, and families in need; one diaper at a time. They believe that direct action, advocacy, and raising awareness go hand-in-hand. HAMO currently coordinates a network of diaper donation drives throughout California and maintain a regularly updated blog that addresses issues of poverty, economics, children, families, and mothers.
